We love travelling and
discovering new neighbourhoods.
That pretty much sums it up.
We LOVE travel and design (who doesn’t!?) and on our travels have experienced both the best and worst of Airbnb’s and hotels.
We love the flexibility and value of Airbnb’s but we also appreciate the standards, design and service of great hotels. We asked ourselves, how can we offer the best of both?
This was the beginning of The Laundry Rooms.
We are a bunch of people that appreciate a good experience.
Think back to the best experience you’ve had as a guest. What made your experience so special? What helped you feel welcome?
These experiences matter. When we feel welcome somewhere, as though we belong, we stick around. We visit that place time and time again. We feel inspired to be and do our best. We shine.
We are a team of people who are passionate about travel, design, hospitality and excellent service. We apply these passions to make guests feel excited, alive, and plugged into the community.
Our workplace is supportive and empowering. We strive to ensure that each of our guests and members of our team feel valued, and we’re not shy about saying thank you. We relish opportunities to show our appreciation to one another, whether that be through a simple thank you or by surprising our guests with something that will brighten their day.
We’re also deeply committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. We aspire to build a team as diverse as the communities we serve, because we believe that our differences make us stronger and help us to foster welcoming spaces where people feel they belong. As an employer, we are also committed to ensuring fairness in how our team members experience our workplace, including how they are paid, scheduled and their opportunities for development.
We also appreciate good service.
Regardless of the location, our desire to serve our guests is paramount. We have a curiosity about getting to know others, figuring out how to make their experience with us memorable and meaningful. We are intuitive, open-minded, and humble in our approach. We are focused on the art of human connection and the subtle nuances that help people to feel welcome and valued in our presence.
As an industry, we have to adopt the best and most efficient business practices. That includes technology, but hospitality is and will always be about “human connection”, otherwise it’s just accommodation.
While we offer a seamless digital experience, our Laundry Rooms locations are all staffed with real, caring human beings who live and work in the communities we call home.
